What is Golden Visa?

The Golden visa is a long-term residence visa which enables foreign talents to live, work or study in the UAE while enjoying exclusive benefits. Investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, outstanding students and graduates, humanitarian pioneers and frontline heroes are among those eligible for the Golden visa.

What are the Benefits of Golden Visa?

An entry visa for six months with multiple entries to proceed with residence issuance

A long-term, renewable residence visa valid for 5 or 10 years

The ability to sponsor an unlimited number of domestic helpers.

The ability to stay outside the UAE for more than the usual period of six months in order to keep their residence visa valid.

The ability to sponsor their family members, including spouses and children regardless of their ages.

The permit for family members to stay in the UAE until the end of their permit duration, if the primary holder of the Golden visa passes away.

Who can apply for a Golden Visa?

Terms & Conditions for issuing a visa include the following:
1. Bringing a letter from an investment fund approved in the UAE stating that there is a deposit of 2 million dirhams.
2. Or bringing a valid commercial or industrial license with the company’s incorporation contract with the investor so that the investor’s capital is not less than 2 million dirhams.
3. Investing in a new or existing company as a partner with shares of a minimum of AED 2 million, not financed by a loan.
4. Or bring a letter from the Federal Tax Authority stating that he is the owner of a company that pays the government no less than 250 thousand dirhams annually
5. On the other hand, bring a letter from the Federal Tax Authority stating that he is a partner in an establishment that pays the tax to the government and whose share in the tax is no less than 250 Thousand dirhams annually

Terms & Conditions for issuing a visa include the following:

  1. Title Deed of Purchase or a Letter from the Real Estate Registration Department in the relevant emirate stating that he owns one or more properties, value is not less than 2 million dirhams, stating that the property is not subject to a loan OR Mortgage.
  2. Proof of housing in the country (home ownership or house rental contract).
  3. Payment Voucher Receipt or Proof of the payment made in favor of the Property.

Terms & Conditions for issuing a visa include the following:

  1. Having the approval Letter from an auditor in the UAE stating that the project value is not less than 500,000 dirhams (project owner).
  2. Having the approval Letter from the authorities in the emirate stating that the project is of a technical or future nature in which leadership is achieved (project owner)
  3. Having the approval Letter from an accredited business incubator in the UAE to establish the proposed activity in the country (founder of a project).
  4. Having a valid Passport copy.
  5. Presenting Valid Health Card insurance is not less than one year and can be extended.
  6. Proof of housing in the country (home ownership / house rental contract)
  • Terms & Conditions for issuing a visa include the following:
    The following professions include (doctors / scientists / creative people of culture and art / inventors / executives / specialists in scientific fields / athletes / doctoral degree holders / specialists in the fields of engineering and science and the following majors include: “epidemiology and viruses / artificial intelligence / big data / Computer engineering, electronics, software, electrical, genetics and biotechnology.
  1. Having the approval Letter from the Ministry of Health in the country to practice the profession of medicine (doctors).
  2. Having a letter of recommendation from the Emirates Council of Scientists or a letter from the Secretariat of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Academic Excellence stating that he is a recipient of the Academic Excellence Medal (Scholars).
  3. Having a valid Passport copy.
  4. Presenting Valid Health Card insurance is not less than one year and can be      extended
  1. Having an Approved Letter from the Department of Culture and Arts in the relevant emirate. (People of culture and art).
  2. Bring a recommendation letter from the Ministry of Economy (for inventors)
  3. Having a valid Passport copy.
  4. Presenting Valid Health Card insurance is not less than one year and can be extended.
  1. Holding a certified MOFA attested Degree or Education Certificate from the university.
  2. Minimum 5 years of working experience.
  3. Salary not less than AED 50,000/-.
  4. Valid Work Employment Contract.
  5. Valid Passport copy.
  6. Valid Health Card insurance is not less than one year and can be extended
  1. Having a specialized Education Certificate in one of the rare fields specified by the authorities in the country (scientific fields of priority).
  2. Having a recommendation letter from the General Sports Authority or one of the sports councils (athletes).
  3. Valid Passport copy.
  4. Valid Health Card insurance is not less than one year and can be extended.
  1. Having a certified copy of the PhD from the Ministry of Education in one of the priority disciplines (PhD degrees).
  2. Bring a certified copy of the university degree from the Ministry of Education in one of the above-mentioned majors (engineering and science fields).
  3. Bring a work contract for a profession in one of the above-mentioned specializations (engineering and science fields).
  4. Valid Passport copy.
  5. Valid Health Card insurance is not less than one year and can be extended.

Terms & Conditions for issuing a visa include the following:
Outstanding Students (High School Student) Outstanding Students (University Student)

  1. The GPA is not less than (3.8)

The following requirements must be met to grant golden residence permits:                       A candidate should be a pioneer or worker in humanitarian work within one of the following categories:

  1. Members who have worked in international and regional organizations, or outstanding employees, for a minimum of five years.
  2. Members of civil associations and institutions of public interest, or outstanding employees, for a minimum of five years.
  3. Individuals who have received an appreciation award from a local, regional, or international organisation that focuses on humanitarian work.
  4. Awarded to outstanding humanitarian volunteers with at least five years of service or at least 500 hours of volunteer service.
  5. Funders of humanitarian work provide the value of the support does not fall below two million UAE dirhams or its equivalent.
  6. All other categories of humanitarian work are agreed upon between the authority and the Ministry.
  7. A minister can also nominate pioneers of humanitarian work. Holding a university degree completing other requirements imposed by a ministry or authority.
