What is a Customs Import Export Code ?
A Custom Import Code is a Code which is allowed by the UAE Custom department to a Business Entity to Import and Export Shipment from rest of the world or from Freezone to Dubai Mainland. Any company who has a valid Trade License & Import Code can Import or Export within Dubai. Businesses having Textiles & Garments Trading, Electronics & Equipments Trading, Foodstuff Trading, Cosmetics Trading, Chemicals or Automobiles Trading can be registered for Import & Export Code and do a local distribution.
The process to register and apply for an Import Export code is summarised follows:
- Complete an Online Application on Dubai customs’ Trade Portal website.
- Pay for processing and customs client code.
- They review your application for approval.
