The guidelines specify that visitors entering the country on a visiting visa should have the following:

1. A valid return ticket.
2. The address of the friends or relatives they will be staying with; ideally, they should travel with the relative they plan to stay with.
3. A passport that is valid for at least six months.
4. A copy of their Emirates ID.
5. Proof of having 5000 dirhams in their account or the equivalent amount in currency. If they do not have 5000 dirhams, they should have at least 3000 dirhams in cash or a credit card with the required limit.

These rules have been in place before but were relaxed in September 2020.
